Without any opposition, Aseefa won the Nawabshah by-election seat. Now, upon her arrival at Parliament House on Tuesday, she was handed the official protocol of the First Lady of the nation.
Aseefa Bhutto was sworn in during the National Assembly session by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
The spouse of the nation’s president generally holds the title of First Lady. However, after his wife, the late prime minister Benazir Bhutto, was killed in 2007, Zardari was left a widower.
During his first term as president of the nation, which ran from 2008 to 2013, Zardari did not remarry, and the role of first lady was also unfilled.
Aseefa was an adolescent during Zardari’s first term, and she is currently 31 years old.
