Following the Faizabad sit-in investigation commission’s exoneration of former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hamid, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) asked that Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa “publicize” the probe report right away.
In addition to ordering the implementation of the inquiry commission’s findings, the previous ruling party also urged that the chief judge take punishment against the individuals involved for the Faizabad sit-in.
The Imran-founded party’s spokesperson stated that the contents of the inquiry report were significant in a number of ways and that the country had a fundamental right to know the verified contents of the report.
According to the party, the commission deemed the former provincial government and incumbent Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who was Punjab’s chief minister in 2017, “responsible” based on testimonies provided by former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal, former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, and other individuals.
“[PM] Shehbaz should resign from his post and be answerable to the nation regarding his criminal mistakes,” said the spokesperson.
