Eva Mendes is talking candidly about her decision to have a child later in life.
In a recent interview with People, Mendes referred to the belief that having children at a younger age is preferable as “asinine,” clarifying that her personal experience did not support this notion.
“When I was 40, it was a big deal for people when I was pregnant, and it wasn’t for me,” she stated to the newspaper. “And then, when I was 42 and expecting my second child, everyone said, ‘Oh my God, you’re going to be so tired.'” People have children in their 20s for this reason. That’s the silliest, most sad thing I’ve ever heard, I thought.
The actress shares daughters Esmeralda Amada, 9, and Amada Lee, 8.
