After winning gold at the past Olympics, Daley, 29, took a break from the sport. However, he will now compete with Noah Williams in the 10m synchronized platform event.
In February, at the World Championships, the two took home silver after Daley’s return in December of last year.
Williams, 23, claimed that “nobody else in the world would take two years off and be as good as he is.”
Although it was commonly assumed that Daley intended to take a break from diving during that time, he decided to come back when his son Robbie expressed a desire to watch his father participate in an Olympic Games.
During the British National Diving Cup, he made his comeback.
