Following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to the Kingdom in March, relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have reached a new level. According to reports cited by Geo News on Monday, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman is expected to make his eagerly awaited visit to Islamabad between May 10 and May 15.
The high-ranking official’s visit is crucial for Pakistan, which is hoping to get significant investments from Saudi Arabia in a number of sectors, particularly in light of Prince Salman’s upcoming visit later this month.
The last time Saudi Prime Minister Salman, also known as MBS, visited Pakistan was in February 2019, during the administration of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. This would be MBS’s first trip there in five years.
Additionally, it would put into practice the agreement reached in Makkah between the two nations to bring $5 billion in Saudi investments to Pakistan in the near future.
But the official announcement on the precise dates of MBS’s visit is about to happen.
It was revealed that MBS was scheduled to travel to Pakistan in 2023 as part of his tour of the area, but the trip was abruptly canceled.
