In honoring the reporter, Los Angeles TV station KTLA referred to him as “a giant in the local news industry”.
Actor Ben Stiller from the US was one of the well-known people who paid tribute, calling him a “consummate pro”.
“So sad and sorry to hear of Sam Rubin’s passing” , he said.
“I did my first interview with him in something like ’93, and numerous times over the years,” the Zoolander star stated. He cherished performers and films.
It was always enjoyable and simple since he put everyone at ease. He was an establishment.”
“Sam was a friend,” added American actress Yvette Nicole Brown, who starred in The Odd Couple and Community. I relished every opportunity I had to see him on the news.
