Following the discovery of a melanoma in his right lung in January during a routine scan, Sir Chris Bryant disclosed to News that he has been receiving immunotherapy for the last three months.
Sir Chris, who was given a 40% chance of survival after having a melanoma removed from his head five years ago, undergoes tests every six months.
The opposition minister for creative industries remarked to Kay Burley on News: “It wasn’t apparent this time, according to the results of my previous scan.
They discovered something in my lung that they believed to be a melanoma, not lung cancer, but rather skin cancer, which would undoubtedly be quite dangerous.
That is metastatic cancer at stage four. And really, really scary.”
