Harris Wolobah, 14, of Worcester, died on September 1, last year, after eating a Paqui chip as part of the manufacturer’s One Chip Challenge.
The challenge, which went viral on social media, entailed eating one of the world’s spiciest tortilla chips and then enduring the heat for as long as possible before eating or drinking something else for relief.
It arrived individually wrapped, and Paqui’s website previously stated that it is created from two of the world’s hottest chilli peppers: the Carolina Reaper and the Scorpion.
