The actress issued a statement in which she directly chastised the company’s CEO, Sam Altman, for implying she was the voice of ‘Sky’ by using the word ‘her’ on news, a reference to a film in which she portrayed an AI with whom a human fell in love.
“Last September, I received an offer from Sam Altman to voice the current ChatGPT 4.0 system,” the 39-year-old Oscar nominee stated.
He told me that he believed that by expressing the system, I might bridge the gap between tech businesses and creatives, as well as assist customers feel more at ease about the seismic change between humans and AI. He said he thought my voice would be calming to others.
She went on to claim that she eventually declined his offer for personal reasons, but nine months later, she realized how much the voice sounded like her.
