The 27-year-old was arrested on Friday, May 17, after attempting to drive into Valhalla Golf Club in heavy traffic, and his arraignment date was scheduled for Tuesday, May 21.
Scheffler was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief, careless driving, and failure to obey traffic signals from an officer.
All charges, which Scheffler rejects, remain on the docket.
Due to an accident near the course on Friday, where a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a shuttle bus, play at the event was delayed by 80 minutes.
The accident resulted in severe gridlock, leading some drivers to leave their vehicles on the highway.
