Democrats were incensed over a image that was uploaded on Donald Trump’s Truth Social account this week that alluded to the establishment of a “unified Reich.” The Trump campaign eventually removed the offending post.
The campaign claimed that a “random account” was responsible for its creation and that the staff member who posted it had not noticed the phrases. However, the Dilley Meme Team, a group of troll-like internet influencers, was actually the source of the meme.
They are a devoted, largely anonymous group that creates a plethora of pro-Trump films and pictures, some conventional and religiously themed, and many vulgar, provocative, sarcastic, or conspiratorial.
The Dilley Meme Team takes pride in its connections to the Trump campaign, which has elevated it above other accounts in an unusual way.
