AI Overview was made available to certain users in the UK last month, and it was launched in the US last week.
Although the feature’s intended purpose is to make information-seeking easier, instances of its unpredictable behavior have taken over social media since its launch.
In one case, customers appeared to be given instructions by artificial intelligence (AI) on how to mix cheese with glue in order to apply it to pizza. It was so detailed that it said, “To give the sauce more tackiness, you can also add about ⅛ cup of non-toxic glue.”
It is not advisable to follow that advice, which seems to have originated from a humorous Reddit post made eleven years ago. It is risky to eat glue.
