To put it briefly, Trump supporters have long contended that the J6 committee may have lied to the public and selectively selected portions of what the public saw and heard about that day’s events in order to bolster their case against the former president.
McCabe, the disgraced former head of the news, stated to news that Trump is motivated more by a desire for vengeance than by “principle or ideology”.
This is the same Andrew McCabe who, while knowing full well it was false, told Anderson Cooper in 2019 that he believed it was “possible” that Donald Trump was a Russian asset. Additionally, this is the same McCabe who was fired after being accused of lying to FBI agents about a Clinton Foundation probe by the Justice Department’s Inspector General.
“Some F.B.I. agents thought that Mr. McCabe had slowed the investigation,” according to a news report.
This is also the same partisan Andrew McCabe who, shortly after James Comey’s firing in 2017, took over as head of the FBI and launched an investigation into then-President Trump’s purported ties to Russia. He was out to defend himself, knowing that there were no such relationships.
