Her son Thomas Dutronc, whom she shared with her ex-husband, the French music star Jacques Dutronc, posted a picture of herself as a baby on Instagram, captioning it “Maman est partie,” which means “Mum is gone.” Hardy initially gained notoriety in 1962 with her debut single Tous Les Garcons Et Les Filles (All The Girls And Boys), in which she bemoaned her single status.

Her biggest UK hit, “All Over the World,” was an English song she published in 1965. It spent 15 weeks in the top 20 on the UK charts.
