Swift performed at Murrayfield Stadium in the Scottish capital on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as part of The Eras Tour, which she brought to the UK.
Swifties, the singer’s hordes of admirers, poured into the city in their hundreds of thousands, contributing an estimated £77 million to the local economy.
Leading the City of Edinburgh Council, Cammy Day, described Swift’s performances as a “fantastic start to an incredible summer of culture in the capital” and noted that they were the biggest stadium shows ever witnessed in Scotland.
Mr. Day stated: “The city benefited greatly and broadly from these sold-out performances, as seen by the estimated £77 million boost it gave the local economy.
The council member commended everyone involved in making sure the shows went off without a hitch and all of the Swift-themed events that were hosted around Edinburgh.
He praised the Swifties’ “exemplary” behavior and promised to keep “disruption to a minimum” at upcoming events.
