While riding in the back of a convertible, Rapinoe was questioned about her position by Katie Daviscourt of The Post Millennial. Bird and Rapinoe participated in a Seattle Pride march.
It is well known that high school boys defeated your American women’s soccer team. Are you truly of the opinion that these boys having a place in girls’ sports is appropriate? Daviscourt enquired.
Rapinoe appeared to flinch and mutter, “Oh my God.” Still, she said nothing. However, when the soccer player refused to reply to the team, Rapinoe and Daviscourt were divided by a security officer.
Why are transgender individuals competing against young girls? Do you not believe that they will suffer harm? Will they suffer any harm? As a journalist, I’m just curious,” Daviscourt continued.
After Rapinoe sipped from her cup, the procession proceeded. Daviscourt was then ordered to leave the car by security personnel.
Even if it meant replacing a biological female player on the U.S. Women’s National Team, the two-time World Cup champion declared in July of last year that she would back a transgender athlete.
“Definitely,” she responded to Time magazine. “The most blatantly transphobic part of the argument is ‘you’re taking a’real’ woman’s place.'” Trans ladies are legitimate women in my opinion. In the debate, you’re essentially telling on yourself already by saying what you’re saying out loud.
