Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry stated there is “no chance” of imprisoned party founder Imran Khan’s release in the presence of the present PTI leadership amid reports of internal divisions inside the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
“We are all suffering because of the current PTI leadership’s lack of political strategy,” declared the party’s former senior vice-president, who broke with Khan after May 9 violent rallies that witnessed attacks on military and public buildings.
In addition, he addressed the PTI leader’s criticism, arguing that the “tough time” for the beleaguered party was over and that people who broke with Khan following the chaos of May 9 had now begun to voice in his favor.
“The imprisoned former premier and other PTI leaders are still going through a difficult period. “Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry, and other individuals are incarcerated and undergoing a challenging period,” I stated.
“Some people start their journey from Peshawar and return after staging a rally in Lahore,” stated the former federal minister.
The former federal minister persisted in criticizing the PTI leadership, claiming that Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and the party’s officials were just offering opinion on the outcomes of various court cases involving party stalwarts who were imprisoned.
He believed that the party should be led by “eligible” leaders such as Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pervaiz Elahi, and Asad Qaiser.
