rumors about his potential to compete for the US presidency.
The US president declared he was “firmly committed” to his re-election campaign and promised to continue running against Donald Trump in a letter to Democrats in Congress.
“I want you to know that despite all the speculation in the press and elsewhere, I am firmly committed to staying in this race, to running this race to the end, and to beating Donald Trump,” wrote Vice President Biden.
“The question of how to move forward has been well-aired for over a week now,” the president writes as he closes his letter. And now is the moment for it.
The US president told Morning Joe that he is certain that the “average voter out there” still wants him to run for president on the Democratic ticket, around the same time the letter was published.
Declared Mr. Biden, “I am not going anywhere.”
He continued by saying he hasn’t “lost to Trump” and that losing the next election is “not an option”.
Additionally, Mr. Biden said on the news that he was “running” and that he would not be “explaining any more about what I should or shouldn’t do.”
