Nearly thirty years after The Simpsons “prophecy,” Cypress Hill is getting ready for a show with the London Symphony Orchestra.

In a 1996 episode of The Simpsons, American hip-hop artists Cypress Hill made headlines when they unintentionally secured a performance with the London Symphony Orchestra "possibly while high".

Although at the time it might have looked like an odd pairing, the rappers have always been driven to push boundaries with their music, and The Simpsons have a reputation for being uncannily accurate at predicting the future.
Now, it’s finally happening, following years of fan demand and discussion on social media: Cypress Hill will perform with the renowned orchestra at London’s Royal Albert Hall tonight, playing hits like Insane in the Brain and I Wanna Get High from their groundbreaking second album Black Sunday, among other songs.

Rappers B-Real, Sen Dog, and DJ Lord told News ahead of the show that it will be “probably one of the biggest moments” in the group’s history.

Real name Louis Freese goes by B-Real. “We’ve done some pretty damn big gigs, but this is with some of the best musicians in the world,” he says.
