ISLAMABAD: On Saturday, Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, announced the creation of units within the Ministry of Planning and Development specifically for the Blue Economy and Creative Industries. This announcement represents a revolutionary step towards sustainable growth and economic diversification.
“These new units are part of the broader 5Es National Economic Transformation Plan, a comprehensive strategy aimed at driving Pakistan towards a resilient and prosperous future,” according to a news statement.
The Creative Industries branch will concentrate on maximizing the potential of Pakistan’s dynamic arts scene, rich cultural legacy, and cutting-edge design industries, according to a press release.
According to Iqbal, the initiative’s goal was to stimulate economic growth by identifying and developing creative talent and creating hubs that would encourage entrepreneurship, the creation of jobs, and cross-cultural interactions.
According to the minister, a key element of our national development strategy is the creative economy.
He said that by making investments in the creative industries, the government was both protecting the nation’s cultural legacy and generating new economic prospects that would greatly boost employment and GDP.
