In the final week of the general election campaign, the Conservatives received £225,587 in contributions from individual donors, according to the Electoral Commission, increasing their total to £1.8 million.
The largest donation, however, came from Westminster Development Services.
Companies House indicates that AMC Project Services Limited, which has Mr. Hinduja listed as its owner, owns up to 50% of the property consortium.
Along with three other members of his family, he was sentenced to prison in Switzerland last month for abusing domestic workers at his Geneva residence.
But a Swiss criminal court cleared Mr. Hinduja and his wife Kamal, as well as their son Ajay and his wife Namrata, of more serious accusations of human trafficking connected to their staff.
The four family members received prison sentences ranging from four to four and a half years; however, their attorneys announced that they intended to file an appeal.
A Conservative Party spokesman claimed that donations “fully comply with the law, are openly published by the Electoral Commission, and are properly and transparently declared to them.”
