The parents of Priya Kumari, who has been missing for years, were informed by Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar that their daughter was still alive and that the police had proof of this.
After Priya Kumari’s parents staged a sit-in outside the Sindh Chief Minister House on Saturday, a government delegation met with the family and pledged complete cooperation. Priya Kumari went missing in Sukkur on August 19, 2021, when she was seven years old. The News reported on this development.
Lanjar, MPAs Mukesh Kumar Chawla of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Lal Chand Ukrani, and Sham Sunder Advani made up the delegation. Sheema Kermani, Liaquat Jalbani, and Fahmida Riaz, among other representatives of civil society, were also in attendance.
Lanjar stated that they have proof the girl is still alive and that the Sindh police were optimistic about the case.
He reassured the parents about the success of the investigating team. DIG The parents were also given an update by Javed Jaskani regarding the joint investigation team’s (JIT) progress on the case.
The Sindh police’s top squad has been assembled, according to the home minister, to retrieve Priya. He said, “The investigation team has gathered proof that she is still alive after three years and is almost done solving the case.”
“I trust the police in Sindh.” Priya Kumari will be saved by them,” he emphasized. He further declared that the police team that would save the girl would receive a prize of Rs. 10 million.
