During Friday’s opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in France, the singer gave a performance of the cabaret classic Mon Truc en Plumes.
Over the weekend, she appeared to announce her engagement to entrepreneur Michael Polansky by watching swimming competitions and women’s gymnastics. She then made the decision to share some new songs.
“I’m so deeply touched by French fans this week outside the hotel, I’m gonna come out and say goodbye tonight – with a few seconds of #LG7,” she said to her Instagram account on Sunday.
A little while later, she emerged outside, using her laptop to play a metallic electronic beat.
The star pumped for roughly 20 seconds during the first excerpt.
She kissed and giggled before closing the laptop and vanishing back into the car.
Following her, supporters lingered and chanted lyrics from her songs.
Gaga reappeared after about a minute and said, “I’m sorry, I’m going to do one more.”
She continued with a second clip that brought back memories of her Artpop album’s gothic pop feel.
The celebrity also seemed to be mouthing the line, “I’ve become what was holding me.”
She posed for pictures and then headed back to her hotel, saying, “And for the rest, you have to wait!”
Her first solo album since 2020’s Chromatica, which yielded the hits “Stupid Love” and “Rain On Me,” will be the new album.
