KARACHI: According to airport sources who spoke with Geo News, at least 18,479 foreign travelers were inspected on Thursday as a monkeypox concern spread throughout Pakistan.
The insiders claim that 135 passengers on foreign aircraft were screened nationwide in a single day.
According to the sources, 4,964 people were inspected at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, 4,790 people at the Islamabad International Airport, and 4,595 people at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.
1,871 passengers from 14 aircraft were reportedly examined at the Multan airport, 802 passengers from seven international flights were screened at Sialkot airport, 991 passengers were screened at Peshawar airport, 320 passengers at Faisalabad airport, and 146 passengers at Quetta airport.
