Recently, Congressman Tom Suozzi received a call from Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Pakistan’s ambassador to the US, congratulating him on his new position as the head of the Congressional Pakistan Caucus.
In a phone conversation with Suozzi, the two talked about the US-Pakistan relationship and how to further boost their bilateral collaboration, according to a statement released by the Pakistani embassy in Washington.
The congressman expressed his congratulations to the newly appointed Pakistani ambassador to the United States on taking up his new role.
According to the statement, Ambassador Saeed emphasized throughout the call the “great importance” of US-Pakistan relations to both nations and the region.
“It is encouraging that bilateral relations are on the right track. We’re committed to making the most of this friendly and well-intentioned atmosphere to further solidify our many relationships.
