The 57-year-old actress, who has been featured on multiple Playboy magazine covers and has popularized red swimsuits due to her appearance in the television series “Baywatch,” claims that she has been “underestimated” by the industry but that she has also contributed to the issue.
She remarked, “I underestimated myself, too,” on Variety’s Studio this weekend while attending the Toronto Film Festival to support her new movie, “The Last Showgirl.”
In the film, Anderson plays a Las Vegas dancer who is forced out of the business owing to her advanced age. This is similar to Anderson’s real life. Getting such a big job so late in her career, according to Anderson, “came at the right time.”
Anderson’s powerful documentary “Pamela, A Love Story,” which explored her private life behind the camera and revealed another side to the bombshell, was published last year.
