Renee Rapp is said to have protected Drew Barrymore from a terrifying stalker encounter.
The American actress and filmmaker is also the host of The Drew Barrymore Show, as her fans are likely aware.
The cast of the Mean Girls movie musical was invited to appear on the most recent edition of Barrymore’s hit show. Renee Rapp was present together with other cast members of the movie.
Barrymore revealed a startling revelation to the 24-year-old actress during their chat.
The Scream actress said, “You’re my protector, along with me.”
“Reneé and I had an incident recently where this guy came to attack me on a stage that I was [on] with Reneé,” she continued, laughing, “and she mama-beared out and protected me so much.”
Barrymore went into greater detail about Rapp’s “heroic” acts during that situation and praised her for being incredibly “protective and amazing.”
For those who don’t know, in August 2023, Barrymore was hosting a conversation about Rapp’s debut album, Snow Angel, in New York City when she was attacked by a stalker.
Rapp took hold of Barrymore’s hand during this incident and guided her to safety off the stage. She resumed her conversation with Barrymore after things had calmed down.
The Ever After star did, however, note that Rapp adopted a “full Bodyguard” posture at this point.
Before leaving the conversation, Barrymore made a joke about the up-and-coming actor and remarked, “You are my Kevin Costner.”
