Following Cast It Talent’s online notice of the open casting call, the studio confirmed it to Variety on Tuesday.
“Will be inclusive to all races, ethnicities and gender identities,” the statement reads, regarding the hunt for the heirs of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and the other movie stars.
Aspirants are need to submit two films. The first video should be “a short poem or story of your choosing,” which might be an original work of art, a monologue from a play they adore, or a poem.
It’s “great” to record on a phone, but “please” no Harry Potter, the notice said.
Candidate bios, including “a bit about yourself” and their height, date of birth, and place of residence, should be included in the second video.
In addition, students have to “explain any family member, friend, or pet” that they are “especially close to.”
Both should be in “your own accent” and should not exceed 30 seconds for the first and a minute for the second.
