In an effort to strengthen its position as a global security supplier, China plans to train thousands of law enforcement officials from other nations over the course of the next 12 months, the country’s police head announced on Monday.
Public security minister Wang Xiaohong made this announcement during a speech at a conference in eastern China: “Police in China have trained 2,700 officers in the last year and are planning to coach 3,000 more from various countries over the next 12 months.”
“We intend to dispatch police consultants to underdeveloped nations to provide training, enabling them to enhance their law enforcement capacities in a timely and efficient manner,” Wang stated.
At the security conference, law enforcement officials from 122 nations, regions, and international organizations attended the port city of Lianyungang in Jiangsu province.
