The competent authorities have notified consumers that the price of energy has increased by Rs1.74 per unit.
The change will have an impact on power users all throughout the nation and pertain to K-Electric as well as other Distribution Companies (DISCOs).
Customers would bear an extra burden of Rs 43 billion 23 crore as a result of the rate increase, which is being applied as a quarterly adjustment. This hike is going to be in effect for the months of October, November, and September.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) informed the federal government of this adjustment’s decision on September 6.
The new prices will result in higher electricity costs for consumers, so they should budget accordingly.
