The Rs14 per unit relief that was first announced for consumers with single and three-phase meters is now limited to those with single-phase meters, according to sources within the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO).
Users with three-phase meters, who anticipated the same bill reduction, are displeased with this on a broad basis.
The sources claimed that although the Punjab chief minister had previously pledged universal relief, the ministry’s guidelines stated that the concession of Rs. 14 per unit would only apply to users of single-phase meters. Consequently, the electricity expenses of have not decreased.
