A notification released on Monday states that 1,967 positions in the Railway Commercial Department have been formally eliminated in accordance with the Railway Rationalization Plan.
When the existing occupants of these positions, who are dispersed among major divisions such as Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Sukkur, Quetta, and Karachi, retire, the positions would be deemed closed.
The choice is a component of a larger initiative to improve resource management and efficiency by streamlining activities inside Pakistan Railways.
Directives Granted to Departments All relevant railway divisions have been directed to modify their workforce and make the appropriate measures to implement the decision after receiving the notification.
