The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has received a petition from the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) requesting a decrease in the cost of power for customers of government-owned distribution businesses.
The petition suggests a one-month drop in price of 57 paisa per unit. For the month of August, the CPPA has asked for a decrease in the Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA).
On September 26, NEPRA is planning to hold a hearing over the CPPA’s petition.
NEPRA will decide about the suggested price reduction after the hearing.
