For the twenty-first time, Pakistan has been chosen to serve on the Board of Governors (BoG) of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The nation was chosen by consensus at the 68th Session of the IAEA’s General Conference in Vienna, from the Middle East and South Asia area, for the two-year term that starts this month, according to a statement released by the Foreign Office on Friday.
The FO went on to say that the development is an acknowledgment of its long-standing dedication to the IAEA’s goals and objectives in supporting peaceful uses of nuclear energy as well as its beneficial input to the creation of the IAEA’s policies and programs.
