Here is what the cast has been up to since the show premiered.
Before embarking on this role, Ed O’Neill had already achieved fame in one sitcom, having starred in 260 episodes of “Married… with Children.”
In between roles on the program, O’Neil kept acting, eventually lending his voice to Mr. Litwak in “Wreck-It Ralph” and its follow-up as well as Hank in “Finding Dory.” Following the conclusion of “Modern Family,” O’Neill starred in the FX miniseries “Clipped.”
Regarding the filming of the final episode of “Modern Family,” he told Business Journal Daily in March 2020 that “there was a build-up of emotion the last two weeks of shooting, and you could feel it all around you.” “It entered your body. Individuals were becoming tense, leading up to that final day. The [whole cast] spent the last two days working together for 12-hour days of filming, which made for a highly emotional shoot.
