Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Plans for a statewide wheel jam strike and a protracted march towards Islamabad have been revealed by Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman. He declared that there will be demonstrations on September 29 at important national thoroughfares.
The national and provincial leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami were present for an online emergency meeting when Hafiz Naeem announced that a public vote would take place from October 23 to October 27. Options for a wheel jam strike and a protracted march to Islamabad are then being discussed.
Hafiz Naeem charged that officials had misled the public and media about the situation, criticizing the government for not carrying out the Rawalpindi Agreement.
He pointed out that in the last 45 years, the ruling party had only implemented a few superficial changes.
