Prince’s childhood home in Minneapolis, Minnesota has been restored by Lisa and Wendy of The Revolution band, and from October 26 to December 14, it will be accessible on Airbnb.
In homage to the former musician’s favorite song, fans will be able to reserve a one-night stay for $7 per person, accommodating up to four visitors over the course of the 25 consecutive nights.
Some of Prince’s most beloved ensembles are on show in the closet, protected by glass. Although attendees are not permitted to touch or wear his clothing, Linda and Wendy will be providing ’80s-inspired ensembles (including wigs, accessories, and eye makeup) for them to enjoy.
Prince’s house has an instrument-filled “muse lounge” that includes a guitar and a drum set. Guests will be given directions by Lisa and Wendy to play the well-known song “Purple Rain” in addition to a pre-recorded version of Prince performing the tune.
If admirers of Prince can locate the hidden area in the mansion, they are going to be in for a treat. Guests will receive a fictitious vinyl record from Airbnb that contains directions to the hidden door.
Visitors will discover the room “filled with treasures” if they can locate the door.
The bedroom has been styled to resemble the beloved song “Purple Rain.”
