Renowned criminal Jameel Ahmed, also known as Jeela, was killed in a gunfight in Lahore between police and a group of armed robbers.
Four other suspects opened fire on the officers while Ahmed, who had a long criminal history including murder, attempted murder, and robbery, was being transported by the Organized Crime Unit to help apprehend his accomplices.
Ahmed was slain in the gunfight that followed. He had been declared an offender in several instances.
To locate and capture the remaining suspects, a search operation is presently being conducted in the vicinity.
