Elissa Slotkin, recently alerted funders to the fact that Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign is “underwater” in the crucial battleground state.
During a virtual campaign event last Wednesday with Democratic New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, Slotkin said to donors, “I’m not feeling my best right now about where we are on Kamala Harris in a place like Michigan,” according to Axios.
“We have her underwater in our polling,” Slotkin continued, citing recordings from the event that Axios was able to secure.
According to the most recent polling, Harris is losing pace to former President Donald Trump in the crucial swing states of Michigan and Wisconsin. In a New York survey, 48% of probable Michigan voters supported Harris.
Trump, on the other hand, received 47% of the vote, essentially tying the two candidates inside the poll’s error margin.
