The two dogs, who are likely to be a mastiff and a cane corso, are reported to have escaped from a house prior to the attack on Dagnam Crescent on Sunday just before five o’clock in the evening, according to the force.
According to authorities, a neighbor had noticed the dogs and had given the black cane corso a leash.
Police released footage of the dog biting and forcing a guy to the ground while he was attempting to remove the lead from one of the dog’s legs.
The man attempted to stand up, but was attacked by the two dogs.
The 47-year-old guy was transported to the hospital by ambulance after sustaining significant cuts and puncture wounds throughout his body, according to South Yorkshire Police. He still needs surgery and is in the hospital.

A fourteen-year-old girl who tried to step in sustained minor injuries.
The cane corso was attached to a lamppost when police arrived, according to reports.
They also mentioned that the second dog was still at large and still a danger to the public.
The unrestrained mastiff was found in a backyard by weapons officers, according to the police, but they were unable to securely confine it. As a result, they chose it.
