The 51-year-old made the announcement in a music video for his song Temporary, which he dedicated to his daughter Hailie Jade, and which was published on Thursday.
A montage of the couple’s life moments is shown in the movie, including one where she gives her father a blue sweater with the words “Grampa 1” printed on the back.
Then Jade delivers him what looks to be an ultrasound scan, which Eminem shows the camera while clearly astonished.
The 28-year-old also subsequently announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post on Thursday.
The social media personality shared pictures of her and her spouse, Evan McClintock, cuddling and examining the ultrasound scan.
The song Temporary, which was released earlier this summer, is taken from the rapper’s most recent album The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace), which also features singer Skylar Grey.
“When I’m no longer here” is emotional music that Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, explains is for his daughter to listen to in the track’s introduction.
