The 31-year-old Morata left Atletico Madrid to join AC Milan in July.
According to Italian media, Morata made the decision to relocate his family to Corbetta, a village located 17 miles west of Milan, in order to give them privacy.
When Marco Ballarini, the mayor of Corbetta, announced Morata’s coming on social media on Wednesday, the Spanish striker lost it.
“Thank you for invading my privacy, Mr. Mayor. Luckily, I don’t possess any priceless belongings. My children are my only treasure, and you have jeopardized their safety,” Morata posted on Instagram.
I assumed the municipality of Corbetta could promise me a certain amount of privacy but instead I find myself having to move house immediately owing to your failure to use social media and safeguard your inhabitants.
Although Ballarini acknowledged in his tweet that he cheers for AC Milan’s bitter rivals, Inter Milan, he also said externally: “I welcome Alvaro Morata to our big family in Corbetta.”
Ballarini posted a picture of the Inter Milan club badge to his Instagram story on Thursday, writing the words “Ciao.”
