KARACHI: In the midst of security forces’ relentless efforts to combat terrorism, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Sunday gained a significant victory when they shot and killed two terrorists who were responsible for the death of CTD Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Ali Raza.
The CTD spokesperson added that the two terrorists, Hafiz Qasim Rasheed and Usman Qureshi, were neutralized during a raid in Karachi’s Sher Shah neighborhood. The former had served 12 years in prison and was the leader of the city’s banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
In July, assailants in the city’s Karimabad district targeted DSP Raza, a close friend of another slain officer, senior superintendent police (SSP) Chaudhry Aslam.
