In interbank trade, the rupee lost 13 paise vs the US dollar and ended the week at Rs277.64, down from the previous day’s closing of Rs277.51.
The Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP) reports that the open market rates for purchasing and selling the dollar were Rs278.25 and Rs279.75, respectively.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the price of euros dropped by Rs1.47 to settle at Rs304.47 from the previous day’s closing of Rs305.94.
The British Pound saw a reduction of Rs1.50, closing at Rs363.89 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs365.39, while the Japanese yen saw a decrease of two paise, closing at Rs1.87.
