Wahag, 24, talks about how she saw the incident through a window on the hotel’s third floor.
He remembers, speaking via a translator in Arabic: “I was afraid. I watched as the individuals threw bricks and stones at the hotel.”
He claims that it was urged for him and the other migrants not to leave.
He expresses concern that there would be more riots, saying, “I’m worried that if it does happen again, it would be very bad.”
Wahag claims that he traveled from Yemen across Europe only a few months ago and arrived in the UK via small boat.
He feels conflicted about Britain, the country where he believed he would be secure, after the riots.
He muses, “There are some decent individuals and some nasty people,” but the UK has “excellent government.
