On a Qantas aircraft from Sydney to Tokyo, the in-flight entertainment system malfunctioned prior to takeoff, resulting in the “inappropriate” screening.
The crew decided to show the same movie to everyone instead of taking off after more than an hour of delay due to staff’s inability to fix the problem.
However, the sexually explicit drama Daddio suddenly started to play, much to the dismay of some passengers on the nine and a half-hour journey.
Even worse, travelers complained that they could not pause, dim, or even turn off their individual screens, so they were essentially compelled to watch.
On Reddit, one of the passengers posted, “The movie they played was extremely inappropriate.” There was a lot of sexting and graphic nudity—the kind where you could really read the letters on the computer without using headphones.
“This continued for over an hour before they changed to a more family-friendly film, but it was really uncomfortable for everyone, especially when there were children and families present.
