Ten people were injured and at least one person died as a result of an explosion in Zhob, Balochistan’s Sabakzai district, according to police reports on Wednesday.
While investigators tried to ascertain what caused the explosion, the injured people were being taken to a hospital.
This occurrence takes place in the midst of persistent security issues in the area, which, along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been a focus of the war against terrorism.
The explosion comes after a previous incident in the Tang Gwal Haiderzai region of Killa Saifullah district where Deputy Commissioner Sherani Sana Mahjabeen’s vehicle was shot at by unknown assailants. The deputy commissioner’s security detail returned fire, allowing the attackers to flee; no casualties were recorded in the incident.
