Everyone who worked with Greta Gerwig on the set of Barbie had a great time. Issa Rae, who portrayed President Barbie, found one scene in particular uncomfortable: Dance The Night by Dua Lipa.
The Insecure actress said that the day she had to perform the movie’s song was “the worst day” of her life in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
“My greatest nightmare was performing and dancing to the Dua Lipa song. The worst day of my life was that one, she continued.
“Being on that set was the best day of my life,” the 39-year-old said. It was thrilling, but I had to master the choreography the very first day in order to film the next day.”Observing, “Greta was like, ‘Oh, it’s going to be a Dua Lipa song,’ but we also didn’t have the lyrics.” But the instrumental was all we had, so I was like, ‘What the ** is this?
