Representative of the International Monetary Fund Esther Perez Ruiz has applauded Pakistan’s attempts to raise living standards and establish macroeconomic stability.
Speaking at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute in Islamabad, Ruiz noted that things are progressively getting better and applauded the actions made in 2023 to stabilize the economy.
Ruiz did concede, though, that maintaining a balance between macroeconomic and microeconomic stability remains a difficulty.
She underlined the importance of the most recent attempts at economic stabilization. She said that a major factor in bolstering economic stability, resuming economic growth, and lowering inflation has been the 2023 Stand-By Arrangement.
