Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, claims he has “never had a problem” with the players and does not want to “make a big deal” out of his upcoming departure to captain Brazil.
Although Real Madrid has not made an official statement, the 65-year-old’s hiring as head coach was verified by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on Monday.
On May 26, the day following Real Madrid’s 2024–25 season finale against Real Sociedad, the Italian will start his career with Brazil.
He will be succeeded at the Santiago Bernabeu by Xabi Alonso, the manager of Bayer Leverkusen and a former player for Real Madrid and Spain.
“It would be great if I didn’t have the press conference today,” Ancelotti stated in response to Monday’s announcement.
